Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside foreman to complete projects
  • Setup and calibrate carpentry equipment at the beginning of the shift, ensuring that it is working correctly
  • Assist foreman in studying blueprints to assess required tools, equipment, and supplies for projects
  • Assist foreman in putting wood planks together by holding them in position, and nailing them properly
  • Gather all supplies and tools at the end of the day and ensure they are put away safely and correctly
  • Assist foreman in cutting timber and lumber according to specific dimensions
  • Assist foreman by holding timbers, lumber, and paneling in place for fastening or cutting
